Drumming on the back of a lorry!

Hi, just thought I would tell you about an early morning gig I was asked to do yesterday.

A band from Burnley called Sharkeys Brother have written an England world cup song. “England ’till I Die”

To highlight the song, they are travelling to every English football league ground, all 90 of them over 12 days. They are travelling in a  specially adapted, massive lorry which also doubles up as a stage where they play the song plus a couple of their other tunes.                        (See above pic. I am at the back, wearing shades)

Along the way they are collecting money for the Help our Heroes charity.

If they complete this mini tour it will break some sort of world record!

Unfortunately their usual drummer was unable to play yesterdays morning session, so I was asked to fill in.

So at 9.30 am instead of having my normal relaxing breakfast,  I was on my way to Accrington Stanley FC, followed by Blackburn & Burnley.

It was an interesting gig to say the least, but great fun.

I wish them all the best for the rest of the tour.
