Do You Own A Video Camera?

One of the best ways to improve your drum kit playing is to record yourself. Even better if you have access to a video camera, film yourself playing.

You will be amazed at what you can learn from watching the way you play. You will no doubt cringe when you see that ‘stupid’ look on your face, (all drummers pull stupid faces). You will also see yourself playing “fills”, that just don’t work.

You can sometimes get carried away &  you don’t always realise what you are actually doing, watching  & listening to yourself  on film later will really bring this home.

If you are unable to record or film yourself the next best thing is to play in front of a mirror.

LOOK & LEARN!
