All Good Things Come To Those Who Wait!

When starting out playing the drums, many new drummers want to do the ‘fancy’ stuff right away. Well I’m afraid as with most things in life, we have  to learn to crawl before we can walk.

Try & get your basic beats steady &  play with confidence before attempting complex sticking patterns.

Practice all new exercises, rhythms & fills etc. slowly to begin with, when your strokes are even & balanced you can then speed up.

“Practice slowly to get fast” – “Practice fast to stay slow”

Take the time to get the basics right & the rest will follow.

If you have any drumming query or would like to know more about my private drum lessons, please feel free to get in touch.
