They are basic to any band & there is always demand for good drummers. Drums are the oldest musical instrument, & are still highly important in all kinds of music today.

I will teach you how to play the drum kit, focussing on the kind of music you prefer, in the shortest possible time.

In learning to play the drums, you have one great advantage over other musicians, anyone can play a basic note on a drum or cymbal, simply by hitting it. This means that you’ll be able to do something at once, without twisting your fingers round like a guitarist, worrying about your bow like a violinist, or suffering from sore lips like a trumpet player.

Remember, you are not unique in your obsession. There are thousands of people as interested in drums as you are.

You will be learning to play a great instrument, one that has been favoured by some of the greatest musicians of our time.  I can’t promise to turn you into a Buddy Rich, a Phil Collins or even a Ringo Starr, but I am confident I can put you on the right track, and one day – who knows?

About My Drum Lessons

I will teach you how to play the drums in a friendly & relaxed informal manner. You will learn at your own desired pace, with never any pressure.

I have students of all ages & abilities. You are never too old to start playing, however, I do think that anyone younger than 8 years old may struggle to reach all the drums.

My drum lessons are designed to be great fun, but informative at the same time. I encourage all my students to ask plenty of questions however ‘odd’ they might sound.

My Drum Studio

One to one private tuition is generally provided in my own drum studio, which is situated at a great musicial community/environment in Ancoats Manchester.
The studio has great facilities consisting of:
